Han just received some locks from GeGe. It is nice to see people keep their promises…
This is what Han has to say about them:
The locks in the picture are some locks we got from Gege, from the left to the right: P-extra, AP2000, AP3000, ANS-2 and the AP4000.
They all have an exotic looking keyway, but besides that here is a lot to tell about the inner live of these cilinders, they contain for example horizontal sliders, undercuts, cogwheel, special anti-bump pins, key copy protection, spring loaded axial pins, carbide sintered steel insert, etc.
I intend to write an article about these high security locks, so that you will learn more about these cilinders.
Click the image for a high-detailed version.
Nice locks, is the AP2000 a cutaway?
Why did they cut the 2000, not the 3000? They are almost the same, but the 2000 does not have the rotating cross inside, so the key needs no wholes.
Why do you call these locks “high security”? Have you tried to pick them?
As far as I can tell, the GEGE ANS and GEGE AP 2000 / 3000 are relatively easy to pick!
But… the keys are quite hard to copy. In this point they are high security. I would like to see the keys an the cutaway from the side 🙂
Greetings from germany,
André
The AP3000 with the cog wheel was introduced into the australian market . And withdrawn as they seized up and failed at an alarming rate …
Looking forward to seeing the paper.
wow, I have never heard of this company, sounds very promising
Travis, their locks are made very well. I have the TOOOL.NL 2006 competition locks, and one of them, stamped T13 is a GEGE SKG** which I have not be able to pick open. Many false sets, but never opened. I think Barry opened it 1 time in 47 minutes. Very nice locks Barry & Han, thanks!

I have a GeGe ans-2 (second from the right in your picture) for three weeks ago, and never opened. It have more tricks than a Hong-Kong´s film.
Shall I have the pleasure to see an un-build pictured report of them?
I trust Han would do this for us, sure.
